Larnach Castle
New Zealand’s only castle resides on the Dunedin Peninsula. The castle began construction in 1871 being built by William Larnach for his beloved wife Eliza Jane Guise.
A workforce of 200 men spent 3 years before the family was able move in to the castle. It took a further 12 more years for European craftsman to adorn the interior with only the finest materials from all over the world. Construction was finally completed in 1887 with the affixing of a elegant ballroom which was Larcnach’s gift to his daughter on her 21st birthday.
Golden Gate Lodge
Golden Gate Lodge is situated in Cromwell, capturing the unique surrounding landscape while being close to skifields, rivers and lakes, historic places and tourist attractions.
The lodge comprises of 47 units including their own deck or courtyard equipped with modern outdoor furniture.
