Twilight Wildlife Tours has been specialising in small group wildlife tours of the Otago Peninsula since 1983. The tours start with a scenic bus journey from Dunedin city, continuing out along the Otago Peninsula.
The tour travels towards the Royal Albatross Colony at Taiaroa Head, passed spectacular coastal areas featuring a wide variety of birds including White-faced Herons, Pied Stilts, Black Swans, Variable and Pied Oystercatchers, Royal Spoonbills and Little Shags.

When arriving at The Royal Albatross Colony you have the option of either joining a one hour tour which includes viewing a short film followed by exclusive viewing of the nesting area from an observatory. Or you can choose to stay with their tour guide for a short guided tour of the cliff-tops.

On the return trip home the tour travels back along the peninsula to Twilights very own private coastal area to view male fur seals sunning themselves on the rocks and the rare Yellow-eyed Penguins as they return home to land in the evening.
Twilight tours will also drop you back off at your accomidation at the conclusion of the tour.
